Hillary Rexe is a writer based in Montreal. Her first play This is the August (SummerWorks, 2016) presents the differences between second and third wave feminisms with the story of a viral YouTuber, a genderqueer performance artist, and a Boomer documentary filmmaker. Rexe has worked as a teacher and literary editor, a dramaturg(e) and artistic producer, the co-founder of a film camp for youth on the autism spectrum and of a small press that published poetry, prose, and visual art. She is currently writing a musical about the death of the patriarchy called O Death.
